A Telling Sign-Better Roads and Better Storm Water Management is key

In January, The Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce did a survey with its members on how the BP Oil money should be spent.  These are business owners, realtors, developers, and other workers who are chamber members.  62% thought that the Triumph (BP Oil) money should be spent on public infrastructure.  Even these individuals, who have been labeled greedy and wanting corporate welfare, know that the path to economic growth is to have better roads, better storm water management, and better overall infrastructure to lure potential businesses to our area.  We have received massive amounts of rain this month that has caused much flooding in certain areas and for anyone who wants our taxpayer money to go to corporate welfare or boutique programs before we fix our roads, is out of touch with what is truly necessary for our town to be successful.  When the roads are closed so is business.
